    • Some non-train enthusiasts may not know about the short forms train enthusiasts use here, so I'll make this guide. :P

      • EWL: East West Line
      • NEL: North East Line
      • DTL: DownTown Line
      • NSL: North South Line
      • CCL: Circle Line
      • EWL Perm: Trains that frequent on the East West Line
      • NSL Perm: Trains that frequent on the North South Line
      • Bar Train: Trains with 84 seats removed and replaced with bars
      • Refurb: After refurbishment
      • Unrefurb: Before refurbishment
      • TO: Train Officer/Operator
      • CSO: Customer Service Officer
      • Camp: Stay in a few stations on a particular line to see trains
      • STARIS: SMRT Active Route Map Information System
      • VPIS: Visual Passenger Information System
      • RATIS: Rail And Travel Information System
      • KCD: Kim Chuan Depot
      • UPD: Ulu Pandan Depot
      • CGD: Changi Depot
      • BSD: Bishan Depot
      • SKD: Sengkang Depot
      • GBD: Gali Batu Depot
      • ATS: Automatic Train Stop
      • ATC: Automatic Train Control
      • ATP: Automatic Train Protection
      • ATO: Automatic Train Operation
      • CM: Coded Manual - TOs drive trains manually
      • RM: Restricted Manual - Same as CM, but motors cut off at 15 km/h
      • AM: Automated Mode - Trains drive automatically
      • NB: Northbound
      • SB: Southbound

      • TW: Tailwall

      It's called Changi Depot btw (by the way), so it is CGD.

      Bishan Depot is BSD.

    • IMHO ATO is more of a operating system, unlike ATS and ATC, which are signalling system, so in a sense you can't compare as in difference and similarities.
